Rutherglen is possibly the only productive enclave of world class Durif wines anywhere on earth. Within thirty years of establishment, their flourishing operations had made Morris the largest wine producer in the southern hemisphere. Rutherglen Tokay grapes, synonymous with Muscadelle, picked off the Morris Mia Mia vineyard. A selection of wines from different vintages is chosen, each contributing special characteristics to make a wine with complexity of age, youthfulness, freshness of flavour and consistency of style. The fifth generation of the Morris family continue to make the most memorable Rutherglen Tawny wines. A sublime, oak matured Grenache Shiraz Mourverdre, evolving marvelous complexity after many years under the estate cellars. Grapes are allowed to remain on the vine until high sugar levels and an intense concentration of flavour develop. After crushing, ferments and pressing, the young wine is fortified with a low strength spirit, as opposed to other styles which are fortified with a higher alcoholic spirit, infuse greater complexity and encouraging opulent palate richness.

The fifth generation of Morris endure as one of the world’s great winemaking estates, releasing an unbroken lineage of internationally renowned fortifieds year after year. Morris Liqueur Muscats are vinified from precious harvests of Brown Muscat grapes, a clone of the Muscat aux Petit Grains Rouge, which grows in bunches of small red berries. Lock & Key is a reference to ancestors who were brought to New South Wales as convicts aboard Australia's second fleet. A generously proportioned Pinot Chardonnay, the first sparkling wine to be made from fruit grown to the blossoming Hilltops region. Moppity Vineyard's original plantings are nearing forty years of age, some of the oldest stock in southern New South Wales. These mature, low yielding vines don't deliver much fruit but the precious grapes are wonderfully concentrated and produce the most remarkable sparkling wine.

Mojos were mythical charms containing special powers, supernatural amulets which protected from evil or evoked karma. The irony here is that there's nothing metaphysical about the way the Mojo winemaking team create their Fizz, a funky name for a great sparkling. The combination of superb terroir, careful handling of pristine grapes and thoughtful handling achieves a youthfully fruit driven Pinot Chardonnay in contemporary, easy to appreciate styling. Awarded 3 GOLD MEDALS and made exclusively from Cabernet Sauvignon, picked extremely ripe to maintain the full sweetness of the style, and sourced primarily from McWilliam's own vineyards in the Riverina wine region in New South Wales. Partially fermented on skins for eleven days to extract maximum colour and flavour, a high quality grape spirit distilled at the McWilliam's Hanwood winery, near Griffith was added to the ferment in stages to assist with the integration of flavour. Receiving no oak treatment, this is a maverick fortified, brimming with riddles and complexities.

Muscadelle are luscious and fruity in their delinquent youth, fortified with Brandy however and aged for a quarter century in old French oak casks, they evolve into a jewel of a wine that's worthy of the most wanton indulgence. An immensely satisfying effort, this fine aged Oloroso is a blend of luscious fortified wines across several vintages at an average five years of age. The fortification takes place gradually, by the addition of no more than two per cent of a high quality neutral spirit at any one time, permitting winemakers to arrest vinification at precisely the desired level of sweetness. A delight to sip at any time of day, elegant and long, just a touch spicy, the dance of fruit flavours and Flor notes make Hanwood the perfect chilled aperitif or accompaniement to rich foods.

Crafted in the old world way, according to the traditional flor solera system. Wines are secondarily fermented under unique Flor caps, yeasts which grow on top of the Apera, releasing aldehydes and infusing the Sherry with lifted, nutty characters. Clean and mellow, gracefully dry and pleasingly rancio, exquisite with a warm alcohol length of aromatic malt flavours and integrated aged oak. Crafted from parcels of Mataro, Grenache and Shiraz, blended to an average age of five years. Harvest is generally later in the season, off choice vineyards in sunny Riverina, the added term on vine serving to fully ripen grapes and encourage luscious fruit sweetness. A lighter, fresher style of Tawny than McWilliam's Hanwood Ten Year Old, offering exquisite richness and complexity without overt oak.

A patiently matured, multi vineyard Muscat, vinified from Red Frontignac grapes and blended to an average age of five years. The fruit, picked extremely ripe to maintain the sweetness of the style, is sourced entirely from McWilliam's vineyards in the Riverina wine region of New South Wales. The warm and dry conditions are ideal for Fortifieds, enabling grapes to ripen superbly and to achieve great richness of flavour. Fermentation is arrested at the desired sweetness by the gradual addition of a high quality neutral Spirit, also made at the Hanwood wineworks.
